What is Giving Tuesday?
Giving Tuesday is the the day to do good stuff for charity. The idea is for you to raise money for your favourite charity or cause today. Giving Tuesday is the Tuesday that follows Black Friday and it’s a day to give back and raise money for local charities.
Here’s how it works: you can choose to support Southwark Giving by donating, fundraising and giving of your time and skills today (and other days!) to help unite the borough to tackle local disadvantage.
To fundraise, you could bake good things, make good things, donate good things, tweet good things or even say good things ‐ it’s totally up to you!
By donating or fundraising today you’ll be joining some of Britain’s biggest brands, charities and celebrities, as well as thousands of people in the UK all doing good stuff for lots charities.
We’d like to take this opportunity to say a BIG thank you all our generous Southwark Giving givers in our network! We here, at Southwark Giving, know that working together to give collectively creates positive social change. Givers in our network and our partners are helping to ensure that a poverty of opportunities for some doesn’t lead to a weaker community for all.
What can you do?
Please tell us what good stuff you are up to @southwarkgiving #GivingTuesday
